| Studio Update: The entire month of September was spent painting plein air landscapes on the island of Rhodes in Greece. Here are most of the images from that trip. I hope they do justice to exhilarating freedom I felt painting the light and beauty of Rhodes. Please let me know your reaction to them. Greek Plein Air Landscapes, September 2008
This month I am adding three online versions artist reviews from my column, The Artist's I for The New Individualist magazine: Jacob Collins: The Sensuous Nature of Light, June 2008 issue.
William Wray: Plotting Life's Light, July/August 2008 issue.
Embarking with Timur Akhriev, September 2008 issue.

Next week I will
be going to California to evaluate and possibly restore A
Writer and an Artist. It will be great to revisit the
painting, There are some scrapes on its surface, which might be
solved by a coat of varnish, or, if need be with a touch of
color here or there. The owner, Cordon Ecker, is a retired sound
director for many Hollywood films. It is hard to believe but the
painting is 26 years old, created in 1982, which also made me 26
years old then.
It's an incredible honor that
Gordon, has and will display this painting in place of honor in
his home.
That is it for October.
