Works in progress:

 

Venus is shaping up the way I had hoped. Radically changing the background colors. Before (check out earlier updates) the water in the foreground was purple shifting to turquoise further back; now its the opposite and it works much better for me.

It helped a great deal by making an composite pastel study of the background, see below. I took all of my studies for the background details and took the best of all them.

 

Getting models here is much easier than in Florida!

 

 

 

 

The 3 males are works in progress the woman is done.
