This is one of my most abstract compositions and, yet, I was very true to the realism of it. Its a little like looking at a photograph that was shot with a very unique perspective or angle that takes one awhile to know what they are looking at. My most favorite thing about drawing with pastel is that it feels like I am literally capturing vibrations of light. I love every mark on this piece, its like millions of color vibrations. Its incredibly complicated as well. The surface of the class top is reflecting the white/gray clouds of the sky; it is reflecting the panes of glass; and you can see through the glass to find the table legs and more panes of glass. Almost small area has three levels of things going on: reflection, transparency, and the actual surface of the thing.
