Big Fish, Little Bird, Bottle of Wine, Book of 500 Self-Portraits, and a Sea of Yellow, 2006, oil on panel, 12 x 16" $5,000

A couple of dear friends friends and I enjoy bantering online. Sometimes we are too clever for our own good and we oscillate between humor, seriousness, wickedness, and sensitivity each one taking on a different role as the mood fits. This still-life is based on our interactions. The red cap is passion. The little glass bird is purity. The book of 500 Self-Portraits is about how we reflect ourselves when we write. The bottle of wine is non-puritanical. And the big ceramic fish is the power broker which, by the way, as symbolic overtones of being both masculine and feminine, i.e. phallic shape yet curvaceous and open.
